‘The Suicide Squad’ Adds Former ‘Doctor Who’ Peter Capaldi To Its Cast

With filming said to begin this month on James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, the film has added yet another actor to its evergrowing cast.

Deadline reports former Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi (who I still see as Malcolm Tucker from The Thick of It) has joined Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. And like the last few folks that have joined the film, Capaldi’s role is unspecified. He could be anything or anyone in this film, but I’ll tell you one thing, he does make a great government official.

Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman and Viola Davis are all reprising their roles from the first film. They will be joined by Idris Elba, Nathan Fillion, Steve Agee, Storm Reid, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior and Taika Waititi, who are all new to the franchise.

The Suicide Squad is set to hit screens on August 6, 2021
