Rumour | Alfred Molina To Reprise Doctor Octopus Role In Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 3’?

Published

Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man film looks like it’s weaving what came before it into its web, with so many rumours around the film suggesting previous Spider-Men Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire could potentially reprise their roles as Peter Parker.

Yes, it sounds crazy but it’s became within the realm of possibility thanks to Jamie Foxx returning as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. He may not be the only former baddie returning.

According to our friends at GWW, they have heard that Alfred Molina, who played the classic Spidey villain Doctor Octopus in 2004’s Spider-Man 2 will be reprising the role for Marvel and Sony’s next film.

Their source informed them that Molina recently arrived on set to practice stunt choreography and has been shooting scenes for the film for the past few weeks. It’s yet unclear whether Molina would be reprising his role as Otto Octavius from Spider-Man 2, or if this would be a new interpretation of the character.

This rumour will no doubt excite the die hard fans and will put others like myself even further down the rabbit hole of Marvel’s Multiverse. But as always, with rumours, take them with a grain of salt.
