Mark Whalberg Is In Talks To Join Tom Holland In Sony’s ‘Uncharted’ Movie

Mark Whalberg is set to star alongside Spider-Man actor Tom Holland in Sony’s long awaited film adaptation of the popular video game franchise Uncharted.

Variety reports Whalberg, who back in the day was set to star as Nathan Drake when David O. Russell was attached to direct, is now in talks to play Drake’s mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan.

Sully is described as an American treasure hunter, fortune seeker and businessman, as well as a friend, mentor and father figure to Drake (played by Holland).

It’s not been the easiest of journeys to the big screen. But things finally seem to be moving forward. The film won’t hit screens until 2022, so there’s still a while to go yet. But hopefully things go to plan and we see both Holland and Whalberg archeology the shit out of somewhere or something.
