‘Lovecraft Country’ Misha Green To Direct ‘Tomb Raider 2’

Ben Wheatley (Free Fire) was tapped to direct the Tomb Raider sequel in 2019, now it’s being reported he’s now longer helming the project.

Misha Green who created and directed HBO’s smash hit Lovecraft Country is set to write and direct Tomb Raider 2 for MGM. Alicia Vikander will reprise her role as Laura Croft from the 2018 film.

Tomb Raider grossed $58 million in the U.S. against a reported budget of almost $100 million, and earned $274 million worldwide.

After seeing how well Lovecraft Country was handled, it’s no wonder why MGM went after Green for the sequel. Shes a fantastic talent, who by the sounds of it is a Tomb Raider fan.

Green took to Twitter after it was announced she was helming Tomb Raider 2.

My fav from classic era is Legend & from survival era it’s a tie between Rise & Shadow. So I’m thinking something like:
