Jeffery Wright In Talks To Play Commissioner Jim Gordon In ‘The Batman’

Matt Reeves The Batman may have found its Commissioner Gordon.

Westworld actor Jeffery Wright is in talks to play Jim Gordon, Gotham’s police commissioner and longtime Batman ally.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Jeffery would star opposite Robert Pattinson’s Batman in what is said to be a grounded take on the Dark Knight.

Wright’s seems to confirm his involvement in the film after the news broke of his negotiations.

In the last fifteen years Gordon has been portrayed on the big screen by Gary Oldman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, and J.K. Simmons in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Another exciting tidbit is Warner Bros. are in the earlier stages of casting some of Batman’s rogues gallery.

The Batman is set for a June 25, 2021, release.
