Last year, Batman actor Ben Affleck, who at the time was attached to direct The Batman standalone film for Warner Bros. teased a video of Deathstroke inside The Fly Fox on the set of Justice League.

During my time at Omega Underground I did some sleuthing and found out former True Blood star Joe Manganiello was playing Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.

Deathstroke was heavily rumoured to be the main villain in The Batman before Affleck stepped aside from directoral duties.

When it was announced War of the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves would helm The Batman, it was revealed the filmmaker would be starting the script from scratch, leaving the future of Deathstroke in the balance.

However it was recently announced The Raid director Gareth Evans was in talks to direct a standalone Deathstroke film with Joe Manganiello attached to star.
