Here We Go Again
If you’ve been following me for some time now, you would know that I do my best to get information out exposing what happened to Justice League. And sometimes, I forget just how little the general audience knows about what REALLY happened. But what about DC fans? Surely they would be aware of the travesty that occurred after Snyder stepped away from the project, right? Wrong! It turns out, the casual movie fan that enjoys the DC films we love, isn’t that aware of what took place behind-the-scenes.
What’s more shocking? Some people don’t even realize the same director that brought Man Of Steel to the big screen in 2013, is the same guy with his name attached to Justice League. They actually believe it was his film. And really, why wouldn’t they? He is listed as the sole director for Justice League. They saw the film and went about their lives. Some of us, however, could not do so. That includes me. But where I have tried to highlight what was, and what wasn’t, from Justice League, a couple of fans got in the trenches of the truth.
Comic Movie Marks
DC Fans and fellow YouTubers, Matt and Shane of Comic Movie Marks, went to Wizard World Comic-Con in Sacramento this past weekend. What they found was a range of confident BS to literal confusion. Some fans, even though they had disdain for Snyder, would still be interested in watching the Snyder Cut of Justice League. And during my watch, I noticed that almost everyone interviewed barely even realized what Zack Snyder had originally planned, and that’s huge.
Even DC fans didn’t know that Snyder was creating a 5-film arc that was NOT intended to compete with Marvel. And really, why would they? It wasn’t explicitly stated that this world had a finite group of characters that would interact before it got rebooted. But becuase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was presumed that Zacks world was the same thing. Only, that couldn’t be further from the truth. And what Matt and Shane discovered when they interviewed their guest, is still shocking. It means that we need A LOT more out there to even bring awareness.
