I hope you wore your brown pants today as I shit you not, Marvel are working on a third Deadpool movie. I didn’t expect it, but what the mouse wants, the mouse gets.
According to Deadline, Bob’s Burgers writers and executive producers Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin will pen the script, with Ryan Reynolds returning as the Merc with a Mouth.
Reynolds had been taking meeting with Marvel and other potential scribes over the past month and the Molyneux sisters fit like a glove for what the studio and Reynolds wanted.
On top of this, the film is still expected to be R-Rated like the last two films. The Mouse sees the dollar cheese and wants a piece. David Leitch, who helmed the last Deadpool doesn’t look likely to return as he is busy for the foreseeable and he wasn’t involved with the writers pitches. But the door is said to be open.
So there’s finally some movement with Fox’s Marvel property after the merger. I didn’t expect it to be Deadpool to be frank, but I’m glad it is.
