Black Adam is gearing up to be something great, I can feel it. After The Rock teased the line up of the Justice Society of America during DC FanDome, we now know who’ll be playing Hawkman.

Per THR, Aldis Hodge, who has starred in Brian Banks and this year’s Invisible Man has signed on to play Carter Hall aka Hawkman alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who plays the titular role.

The JSA lineup already includes Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher. The other two roles of Cyclone and Doctor Fate have yet to be cast.

Hodges took to Instagram to share the news:

So the cat’s out of the bag 😎. @therock, it’s going to be an honor to join you, @ncentineo and the #BlackAdam/#DCU family 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿.

Let’s goooooo!!!!

Hawkman has a convuluted history, he’s been the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian Prince who’s live many different lives of the years—then he’s also been an alien police officer from Thangar. The character goes by a few names, most commonly Carter Hall, a winged warrior with a bird-shaped helmet and mace.

Jaume Collet-Serra (The Commuter) will direct Black Adam, he recently directed The Rock in the Disney’s upcoming Jungle Cruise.
