‘Black Widow’ Set Images Hint At Taskmaster Being The Films Villain

Published

Production is currently underway on Marvel’s long-anticipated Black Widow film, with Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as everyone’s favourite assassin-turned-SHIELD Agent/Avenger.

Filming is taking place around Europe right now and some new set images have surfaced revealing a mysterious armoured villain. Who could it be exactly?

Well, there are a few different shots of this unknown character, he’s wearing armour, which bar the helmet looks a little Ant-Man-esque. His helmet resembles that of Lord Zedd’s from Power Rangers.

See the set images below:

The interesting thing from these images is that the character strongly resembles the look of Taskmaster, with the orange accents on his armour, the hood and backpack.

Taskmaster in Spider-Man PS4

Tony Masters (a.k.a. Taskmaster) possesses the ability to absorb knowledge and instantly replicate the combat skills of anyone he observes. He has used these skills as a teacher to many supervillains, henchmen, and even some heroes. In order to clean his record, he started working for the U.S. government as a combat instructor.

Whilst nothing is confirmed, if these images are indeed Taskmaster, he would be an incredibly formidable foe for Black Widow to come up against. Hopefully we’ll get official word soon, perhaps even at San Diego Comic-Con.
