Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘Doctor Strange’ Will Take On Mentor Role In ‘Spider-Man 3’

Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising his role as Doctor Strange for Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man 3 starring Tom Holland.

Per THR, Cumberbatch will take over the mentor role that Robert Downey Jr. Tony Stark (Homecoming) and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury (Far From Home).

The Cumberbatch announcement comes only a week after it was revealed Jamie Foxx would be returning as Electro for the third outing between Marvel and Sony Studios. Foxx last played the role when Andrew Garfield was still the web slinger.

Doctor Strange appearing in Spidey 3 can easily answers how Electro appears, especially with the Doctor Strange sequel the Multiverse of Madness exploring the alternative realities in the Marvel universe. This makes me wish for a Spider-Man team up with Andrew Garfield (don’t care for Tobey Maguire sorry), could this become a reality?

Spider-Man: Blah Blah Home Something is set to release December 17, 2021
