To the excitement of fans who have longed for the cut, Ben Affleck, who starred as Batman in both Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, along with Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot joined in on the action. Unlike other actors from the film, Affleck and Gadot had previously been silent on the matter.

Now, in a new interview with Cinemablend, Affleck, who’s promoting his new film The Way Back explained his backing of the film’s release in more details.
“I didn’t know about it. Zack was like, ‘Hey, they are doing this thing.’ And I said, ‘Zack, I love you, and I support you. However I can help you.’ I do think that movie, you know, having two directors is a very weird thing. And for Justice League, the director had a family tragedy. … and so you have a kind of cow’s body with a horse’s head a little bit with two directors a lot of times, for better or for worse. I do think Zack’s cut should be available.”
Affleck has admitted the troubled Justice League shoot exhausted his interest in playing Batman. Initially he was set to star, direct and produce a film as the Caped Crusader, before departing the project altogether. Since then, Robert Pattinson has taken over the Cowl and is currently filming Matt Reeves The Batman in Glasgow. Affleck praised Pattinson in another interview with Jake Hamilton.
“I think Robert’s a great actor, he’s going to do great.”
